Leho Tedersoo graduated his PhD in the University of Tartu, Estonia, and focused both his doctorate and postdoc studies on ecology and biogeography of soil fungi. Currently he holds joint professorships in the University of Tartu and King Saud University of Saudi Arabia. His current research has expanded to cover the development of novel molecular identification methods and biogeography and conservation of microeukaryotes in all soil, water and foliar habitats.
